What is onboarding?
Onboarding (or integration) is the process of welcoming and settling in a new employee: access to tools, handing over instructions, introducing the team and the culture, and building skills over the first days and weeks.
On the ground, the challenge is “mass” and seasonal onboarding: quickly bringing in numerous, frequently renewed employees, without heavy training and often without a work email. A bad start weighs directly on retention.
According to an IFOP survey for Beedeez (October 2024, 1,000 respondents), 22% of French frontline workers had received no training in 6 years, and 80% see training as essential.
