What is a frontline worker?
“Frontline worker” is the term for an employee on the front line: someone in direct contact with the customer or with production, who carries out the core of operational activity without a fixed workstation.
Often “deskless,” these workers make up the vast majority of the workforce in service and production sectors. In French, the terms collaborateur terrain, équipe terrain, and travailleur de première ligne are used interchangeably.
