What is an order picker?
An order picker is a logistics worker who gathers the products of an order in the warehouse — an operation called “picking” — before they are packed and shipped, following instructions on quantity, quality, and deadline.
Picking can be guided by a handheld terminal, by voice (“voice picking”), or by a paper slip. A high-tempo job, it depends on the accuracy of the information passed along: item references, locations, priorities, and packaging methods.
