The night instruction never makes it to the day.

An unreadable handover log, a forgotten WhatsApp thread, a temp starting a shift with no context: the end-of-shift instruction gets lost. Roomee puts handoffs, job aids and protocols back in one place. On mobile, with proof that every team has seen them.

Midnight. The evening team leaves, the night team arrives.

Your managers spend 40 minutes a day on average chasing, repeating, asking again — because they never know who's actually seen it.

Midnight. The service instruction fades at the handover.

In the morning, management sets a service instruction: room 14 is closed off for the evening for plumbing work, the scheduled arrival is rerouted to room 22, and access to the East corridor now goes through the fire stairs. It's jotted in the handover log — two lines, hurried handwriting, left on the desk at the nurses' station. At 8 p.m., the evening team reads it. At midnight, the night attendant starts the shift, looks for the log — no longer in the same place, and in any case too cluttered to find anything. No one had relayed the change. At 3 a.m., a leak starts up again in room 14. The night team knew neither that the room was closed off nor which way to get through.

It's not an attention problem. It's a place problem. The instruction never had a reliable path from one shift to the next.

Roomee field observation (illustrative, to be confirmed).

At midnight, a service instruction that fails to pass from one team to the next at handover.

Round-the-clock care, temps every day: at every handover, the instruction gets lost.

Here's your week when the information lives in the handover log and in personal WhatsApp threads.

  • The handoff leaves with the evening team.

Unreadable log, forgotten handoff, no record. The temp starting a night shift with no context from the day before starts from scratch.

  • Every day, a new temp to brief by hand.

Where are the unit's instructions, the floor plan, the night supervisor? An email, a PDF, a spoken walkthrough. Redone with every new arrival.

  • A hygiene protocol sent out. Never proven read.

A PDF by email, half-read. A paper version that contradicts the screen. Nobody knows who has the right one.

  • An international staff, instructions in French — and nothing else.

An instruction misunderstood is a risk. So teams work around it on personal WhatsApp. Outside the location's control.

  • Turnover erases the home's memory.

The sheets get lost again. The practices are relearned. The org chart taped to the wall is out of date by the next day.

  • At group scale: reach everyone, know who's read it — good luck.

For a group: a mass email, manual follow-ups, no visibility into which managers saw the right version.

At night, the pair is on its own when something goes wrong.

3 a.m. A care aide, an attendant, and a phone. A situation is going downhill: where's the response protocol approved by the location, the emergency liaison file, the number for the shared on-call line? You dig through the binder, you land on an uncertain version, you look for the right contact. Every minute counts, and no one should be improvising.

Roomee. The emergency procedure and the resident's instructions live in the team's Drive — found with one search, even at 3 a.m., on mobile. The org chart gives you the on-call line in one tap. Roomee doesn't provide care, doesn't decide for you. It just keeps the night pair from searching at the worst possible moment.

The temp knows the job, not your residents.

In a nursing home, the roster of residents barely turns over — but the temp who shows up doesn't know them: each person's cues, what soothes them, the moves to avoid, who supports whom. The permanent staff don't have time to hand over 80 “how-tos” out loud between rounds. The knowledge stays in people's heads, and support turns hit-or-miss.

Roomee. Each resident has their own support sheet — habits, cues, team instructions — in a unit Drive. The temp joins the space on their very first shift, on their phone, and finds the essentials without tying up a permanent staffer. One click at the end of the assignment and access is cut off: they take nothing with them, the location keeps everything. (Team instructions, not a medical record.)

It's all in her pocket — without tying up a veteran.

The order given over the phone never reaches the morning.

The attending physician changes a treatment in the evening, by phone or text to the on-duty nurse. Noted somewhere. The signed version will arrive in 24 to 48 hours. In between, the morning team prepares without having seen the change go by.

Roomee. The order received is logged in the team's channel: time-stamped, notified to the next shift — who see it before the round, and who's read it. Roomee doesn't replace the prescription in your care software. It just keeps the instruction received from disappearing between the evening phone call and the morning team.

Frequently asked questions — nursing homes & senior living

  • Q1. Does Roomee handle residents' care records or care data?

No, and that's by design. Roomee coordinates teams: service instructions, cross-shift handoffs, job aids, protocols, org chart, schedules. No care software, no health data. Care and compliance stay in your dedicated tools.

  • Q2. How does Roomee handle job aids shared across every unit?

The sheets live in a “Job aids” or “Service protocols” Drive. Every document is dated, signed, available on mobile. Head office locks updates down, or hands control to frontline managers — your call. The history keeps every version.

  • Q3. Does Roomee replace WhatsApp?

For service instructions: yes. Roomee Messaging becomes the location's channel — direct messages, team groups, voice notes — under the organization's control. No personal accounts. WhatsApp stays for the informal, and that's it.

  • Q4. How does it work for short-term temps?

Sign in with a personal email or phone number — no work address needed. Attached to their unit's space on first sign-in, with nothing to set up. End of assignment: one click, access is cut off. They keep nothing, the location keeps everything.

  • Q5. Our staff is multilingual — how do we handle instructions?

Noah, the AI built into Roomee, translates an instruction on demand into 10 languages (French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese). The team member sees the original and the translation side by side. Translation starts from a button — nothing translates on its own, and that's by design.

  • Q6. Where does the data stay? What about GDPR?

Hosted in Europe, in Frankfurt. Encrypted in transit (TLS), encrypted at rest (AES-256), designed to support GDPR compliance. When Noah translates, the inference runs through Claude (Anthropic, outside the EU) — a separate operation from your content, which stays stored in Europe. Your data doesn't train the model.

  • Q7. How much does it cost?

Pricing is per location, not per user: the Essential, Pro or Premium tier follows team size (up to 30, 60 or 120 team members), with custom plans beyond that. Pricing also depends on the number of locations, and we price it to your scope — a quote within 24 to 48 hours. For a network, the Group plan (from 2 locations) takes 20% off per location depending on its size and unlocks the multi-location features — a head-office space, shared templates, synchronized transfer, AI translation. Essential has no commitment; Pro and Premium on 12-month terms, with 2 months free on annual billing.
